Project Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with great communication skills for this position. You will oversee financial budgets, coordinate contractors and manage the construction process for multiple custom new home and remodel projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with clients to ensure clear goals for a project
  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
  • Coordinate the procurement of proper construction materials, supplies and schedule deliveries
  • Work with subcontractors to ensure a well-staffed work crew
  • Guide and direct field employees, trade contractors and supplier’s schedules to ensure a timely completion of projects
  • Manage project finances including profitability and cash flow
  • Material ordering from local suppliers for windows, doors, trim, etc
  • Schedule, coordinate and manage the daily construction activities for residential and remodeling projects
  • Communicate with clients on progress; Answer their questions and ensure construction meets their expectations
  • Develop and maintain strong, productive supplier and trade contractor relationships
  • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding work being performed
  • Communicate any conflicts or revisions associated with the project to the project team prior to execution
  • Handle onsite conflict resolution with trades, neighbors and client issues
  • Coordinate required inspections with local building departments
  • Maintain and update the construction schedules for assigned projects in Buildertrend and project folders on a weekly basis
  • Submit pricing and communication with office on client change orders
  • Walk all projects multiple times a week to monitor and help empower team to exceed expectations for accuracy, cleanliness, safety, craftsmanship and quality standards
  • Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections , city guidelines and local and state regulations are met
  • Plan to prevent problems and resolve emerging ones

  • In-depth understanding of the construction industry
  • Computer skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office, Buildertrend
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal building code regulations
  • Experience in a collaborative environment and ability to navigate construction and design challenges
  • Professionalism in communication and correspondence with clients, vendors, subcontractors and co-workers
  • Punctual, reliable and ready to work are a must
  • Must be self-driving and able to run multiple jobs simultaneously
